Kaiseki

I chatted with my best friend yesterday, she is in Tokyo to take care her sister's new born baby. She is not really happy to take care baby, because they make her crazy, especially can't sleep at nite. However, I think she is happy to stay in Japan... It's Japan shopping. Hopefully she wouldn't mad to me when she read this message.

Btw, she made me thinking about my Tokyo trip 2 years ago. I have been there with 5 more friends and my boyfriend. Actually I and my boyfriend went to Tokyo first and my friends joined us. OMG, I had a wonderful dinner at the Tokyo trip. It's Japan Kaiseki, it's so decisious and pretty. The restaurant is in hotel, we went there for hot spa and saw FUJI mountain (Although we can't see last time).

The dinner has 6 dishes, there are lobsters sashimi, crab steam egg, stone cooked beef, lobster soup, mushroom steam rice, red bean sticky rice dessert. I can still remember they put so pretty and detailed. I envy Japanese people and understand their spirit.

Trattoria Tre Venezie

Yesterday I went to Dessert Hills Outlet to shopping... well, it's not really for my shopping, I got an order from my second sister, that's helping my nephew to buy their GAP clothes. I don't know why most HK/JP ppl like GAP clothes... For me, GAP is no style and it's expensive for that design. Am I mean? If you go to HK and see "Giordano", they have same design and cheaper 50% than GAP, so why we still need to buy GAP? I guess most HK ppl like the brand name and... they dont' have GAP in HK.

Btw, I was shopping around 5 hrs and my body is exhaursted, I found that I need a glass of red wine to wake up my body. Then I told my boyfriend and suggested to have French or Italian food for dining. So I try to search my car nagivation, i was chosen "Bistro". However, it was closed at 10pm, when I called them it's 9.30pm
already. Then I searched a small italian restaurant called Trattoria Tre Venezie... I was impressed, it's small home style restaurant, funny waiter... (When I called for reservation, I asked what's time you guys closed? huh... no exactly time... oh Okay.. and I asked can I make reservation for 2 ppl... Huh, sorry We don't have reservation services... I was like... okay fine, I will arrive 15 mins anyway. When I arrived there, the waiter said I got you, I told you that you can't make reservation. I was laugh so hard for them, funny and gracious ppl.

Also, they suggested fish salad, special risotto for me, with nice red wine - Refosco from Italy. For my boyfriend, they suggested lamb for him. Also, they are sensitive customer's feeling. I even didn't say anything, and they can feel what I want... After I got home, I started to search information for this restaurant and I couldn't find their website, but I found a lot of comments to say that they definitely will go back to this restaurant again~

Four Seasons Dim Sum in Shanghai

When I think about Japan trip in March. It also let me remember Shanghai trip, yea right... I went to Japan, Shanghai and.. Hong Kong in March 06. My family lived in Hong Kong, and my brother in law has a company in Shanghai, that's why I'm always going to Shanghai when I go to Hong Kong to meet my family. Last time, he showed me dim sum at Four Seasons, I was surprised they have great dim sum to serving, which is similar as Hong Kong style. Later on, I found out the cook is from Hong Kong. Yeah! It has 4 seasons, included Spring - vegetable, Summer - Crab eggs, Autumn - small fish and Winter - egg. It's very pretty and tasty.

There is the other one dessert which is my favor:
I know you will think it's egg tart, but you are wrong. It's milk tart, it's made by milk, not egg. Tasted not sweeter than egg, Usually I like fried milk. This is similar as fried milk tasting. You can order next time, if you are in Four Seasons.

I'm so glad to have HK-JP-SH trip, since I tried so many different food and met some funny people. I can't wait to have another trip... Where's my next trip?

Kobe Beef

MOPR - Kobe Beef Steak Restaurant

http://www.mouriya.co.jp

Damn... It's so freaking delicious beef, I had it at MOPR restaurant at Kobe, Japan. All beef has birth certification... Can you believe that?

I talked to one of the waiter and he said they are feeding special diet for all cows, that's why Kobe beef tastes different. I really want to go back Kobe, Japan again to try it again...

I went Kobe in March, 2006 with Betsy.
